Toshio Matsuura — founding member of United Future Organization (U.F.O.) — is one of the key figures in Japanese club culture. With five albums released in 32 countries, Toshio helped define the sound of acid jazz, broken beat, and Tokyo’s underground scene.
As a solo DJ, he has performed worldwide, produced events, and curated music for major fashion brands. His remix work spans James Brown, Astor Piazzolla, Gotan Project, Melanie De Biasio, and more. His projects HEX (Blue Note Records) and the Toshio Matsuura Group (Brownswood Recordings) continue to push progressive jazz and electronic fusion forward.
